While there are several other radios to choose from, these two radios in particular seem to cause the fewest number of problems for users who purchase from us. They provide excellent sound quality and volume, and have several robust programming features including scan and auto scan of channels.

If you still can't decide which radio to purchase, try to answer these questions about how the radio will be used:

  • Is it probable that the radio could be dropped on concrete? If yes, choose a more durable radio.
  • Are there building and walls that you need to transmit through? If yes, you will need a UHF radio, and most likely a higher wattage radio.
  • Do you need to have private conversations with a select group of people? If yes, then consider the multiple channel radios. Always remember though, that an unlimited number of people can talk on just one channel.
